The Next Adventure is our collection - quite personal - of the best trips and experiences we've ever had, as well as a bunch we'd really like to do. Having spent over 20 years in the travel industry, both running tours and organising stays in the best hotels, we've ended up with a very handy address book. So we've gathered together a handful of the very best travel experts to craft some really special holiday ideas.
We don't have fixed prices. We indicate a range. That's because these holiday ideas can be done in a number of ways - as a social adventure, with a group of friends; as a bespoke trip, with or without a private guide; and staying in top 5 star hotels, or in characterful 3 and 4 star properties, camps and lodges. It's for people who want to do something different, see something new, go to where they've always dreamt of - without costing the earth.
How often have you been on a group trip and found yourself travelling with people you would not ordinarily share a pint with in the pub? At least half the success of a holiday, IMHO, is the company you keep while you're on it. In recent years more and more people are putting together their own small group adventures - with a group of friends, with another family, or with like-minded people. But it can be complicated. It's also hard to connect with the right people. Which is where we come in.
Each experience and itinerary is put together fresh for each new traveller - unlike the mainstream adventure companies we don't use a fixed template, or set departure dates. We customise the trip to suit your budget, how many of you there are, and your requirements. Does that make us expensive? No, we don't think so, because we operate without the mark-ups or overheads of the plethora of luxury travel companies that are looking for your business. We're not about luxury, though we can provide it - we focus on the experience. After all, what will you remember long after you've returned? The conversation with the Namibian bushman looking for his lost cattle, or the designer bathroom in that luxury safari tent?
We also work with a tight selection of recommendations. These are itineraries we, or one of our experts, knows intimately. Each season they will be refreshed, because we're always looking for that authentic experience - the cultural gem, great food and wine, that breathtaking landscape; in short, every which way to get 'under the skin' of a place and a people.
Whether a two week hard adventure trekking in Bhutan, a soft adventure in Andalucia, or a long weekend in Vienna, we have a range of really exciting and memorable trips we can build for you.
